One of the nicest drives in New Zealand is up the middle of the South Island and past Aoraki / Mount Cook. When we received a request to deliver a Wheelie Bin Shed to Lake Tekapo I was more than happy to volunteer for the job. This past weekend the weather was fine, so decided it was a good time to make the delivery. The road between Wanaka and Lake Tekapo takes in some great scenery however on this day the clouds sat low around Aoraki. With snow around the surrounding hills it was a consistent reminder that winter was not far away.
We offered to assemble the Wheelie Bin Shed before delivery. The shed survived the trip without any issues. We off loaded the shed into the client's garage. A wooden platform now needs to be installed to allow the Wheelie Bin Shed to be fastened to. We also checked the bins will fit inside the shed and the auto-lid lifting on the bins works as well.
Once everything was checked we went for lunch and headed home again stopping in Twizel for some fresh salmon. By the time we got home the rain had started but it is always a great drive past Aoraki.
