First good Central Otago frost of the year and the HUNA Heat Pump Cover had no issue protecting the outdoor heat exchange unit from the ice and continued to function efficiently.
The louvre design of the Heat Pump Cover allows the air to circulate out the front and while ice droplets had formed on the edge of each louvre this does not affect the way the air flows out from the unit. The gap between each louvre remains the same at all times.
So no matter where you are located in New Zealand you can be sure the winter mornings will not stop your heat pump from working efficiently. The living proof can be seen in the attached photos.
